(Makkah Mukarramah: June 11, 2021) Minister of Religious Affairs Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadri along with his Afghan counterpart in Masjid-ul-Haram today Friday He met bin Abdullah bin Hameed. Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed his gratitude for the successful convening of a conference of scholars of the two countries on “Afghan Peacebuilding” in Saudi Arabia and reiterated his commitment to full cooperation for lasting peace. Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadri further said that peace in Afghanistan is the guarantee of peace in Pakistan. Pakistan’s scholars and leaders will also continue to play an effective role in establishing peace and stability in Afghanistan and dialogue. Like Saudi Arabia, they want peace for their Afghan brothers. Sheikh Al-Sudais said that Saudi Arabia will continue to play its role for complete peace in Afghanistan under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz. He further said that Pakistan’s role in establishing peace in its neighboring country was commendable. At the end of the meeting, Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais offered special prayers for peace, development and prosperity in Pakistan and Afghanistan. It may be recalled that Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadri was accompanied by Chairman Islamic Ideological Council Dr Qibla Ayaz and officials of Pakistan Diplomatic Mission. Afghanistan was represented by Afghan Minister of Religious Affairs Muhammad Qasim Halimi, Afghan Ambassador and scholars. Prior to the meeting, the two leaders along with their delegations offered Friday prayers at the Grand Mosque.
