NCOC closed
ISLAMABAD: National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) set up for dealing with corona virus and formulating relevant policies has been closed and the responsibilities have been assigned to health department.
Federal minister Asad Umar said Thursday was the last day of NCOC. The corona cases ratio has declined tremendously and vaccination ratio has scaled up.
The responsibilities of NCOC are being handed over to ministry of health. It was matter of pride for me that I remained the head of NCOC.
We have succeeded in overcoming this mammoth challenge with the blessing of Almighty Allah and cooperation of nation, he underlined.
I am proud of it that global agencies and personalities lauded Pakistan as one of the most successful countries in the world due to its COVID-19 policy.
Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has congratulated National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) for a professional and nationally coordinated response to COVID-19 pandemic.
He tweeted on Thursday, “our Corona Virus response was recognized by the international agencies and people in the field as one of the most successful globally”.
