AJK welcomes OIC Council of Foreign Ministers meeting: Sardar Tanveer Ilyas

Islamabad,  (ZNN TV) : President Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and the most senior minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan has said that the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) represents Islamic values of unity, peace and brotherhood of the Muslim Ummah. He said that the OIC could prove to be a defensive siege for unarmed Muslims around the world, including in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. “The meeting is of special significance after the United Nations last week succeeded in recognizing the need for a serious urgent global agenda and world peace in the fight against Islamophobia. The distinguished guests of the 48th session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers meeting are welcomed by the people of Azad Kashmir, the Legislative Assembly and all the opposition parties.” These views were expressed by President PTI AJK Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan at his residence on the occasion of a dinner given in honour of the Speaker Legislative Assembly Chaudhary Anwar-ul-Haq, Local Government Minister Khawaja Farooq Ahmed, Education Minister Dewan Ali Khan Chughtai, Finance Minister Abdul Majid Khan, Planning and Development Minister Chaudhry Rashid, Food Minister Chaudhry Ali Shan Soni, Forest Minister Muhammad Akmal Sargala, Government Advisor Chaudhry Akbar Ibrahim and Muhammad Javed Butt. Chaudhry Rafiq Nayyar and Ms Imtiaz Naseem also attended the occasion. Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan said that OIC member countries have one God, Prophet, book of guidance Quran and Qibla. He added that the leaders of Islamic countries especially Tayyip Erdogan, Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan made continuous and serious diplomatic efforts for the great cause of Muslim Ummah unity.He further explained that Islamophobia became a serious global problem that had engulfed peaceful European societies including the Scandinavian countries and even Australia and New Zealand. He said that he believed whenever the future historian would compile the political history of Pakistan, he would write the name of Imran Khan in golden words. He also stated that the 48th OIC Summit would reaffirm Pakistan’s active role in promoting Islamic solidarity and cooperation. He went on to say that the people of Kashmir had high expectations from the OIC regarding the solution of the Kashmir issue.
