Uplift of marginalized sections of society, responsibility of the state: PM

ISLAMABAD:   Prime Minister Imran Khan has said welfare of the marginalized sections of society is responsibility of the state.
He said this while addressing the inauguration ceremony of Ehsaas Riayat Rashan Program in Islamabad on Monday.

He held petrol and diesel is cheaper in Pakistan than Dubai. The price of petroleum products was slashed in the wake of upturn in tax collection.

“Ehsaas program is a step forward towards state of Medina. A person who feels the distress of the humanity can bring Ehsaas program. The money was spent on lower class in state of Medina. Uplift and welfare of the marginalized section of society is responsibility of state..
The objectives of state of Medina are supremacy of law, war against mafia and uplift of common man, he remarked.

He pointed out health card will be provided to every family.
“the prices of petroleum products were curtailed due to increase in tax income, he said. The inflation wave overtook the entire world but in Pakistan petrol and diesel are cheaper than Dubai.
PM observed 98 percent disbursements are going into the hands of women under Ehsaas program so that they could run all the matters related to education of the children and others.
Ehsaas Program is designed for empowering the women, he underlined. The country can not move forward unless the women of the country become educated.

He indicated World Bank acknowledged Pakistan Ehsaas program is the best project in the world. Health card will be provided to every family till the end of the current month except Sindh. The card will enable the family to receive medical treatment free upto Rs 1000000.

Under Ehsaas Riayat Rashan Program 30 percent concession will be provided per month to 20 million families.

I pay tribute to Sania Nishtar for making the program success story. It was not easy to work on diverse programs under Ehsaas program but Sania Nishtar and her team worked day and night on this program, he held.
