According to sources, the IMF proposal is likely to impose a tax of 7.5% on all pensioners.
The federal government pays Rs 250 billion annually to pensioners, and a tax on graduation is being considered.

According to sources, the proposed plan also includes taxing the profits of the federal government General Provident Fund, which is estimated to raise Rs 18 billion by levying 7.5 per cent tax on pension funds.
